The CIE is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming workshop, High Efficiency LED Luminaire Applications for Motorized and Pedestrian Public Road Lighting, organized by the Center of Excellence in Electrical Power Technology (CEPT), based at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. This event will take place at the Pullman Bangkok G Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 30–31, 2024.
Representing the CIE will be Tony Bergen, CIE Vice-President Technical. Mr. Bergen will deliver an online presentation entitled "CIE S 025 and the Goniophotometry of Road Lighting Luminaires", scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 13:00 to 13:45 (GMT+7).
About the Workshop
This industry-focused workshop aims to enhance knowledge and expertise among luminaire manufacturers, contractors, and local governments—particularly in rural areas—on effective road lighting implementation and luminaire evaluation. Topics will cover updates and improvements to Thai standards, as well as considerations for environmental design and spill light management.
