About the Symposium

Lighting plays a vital role in our daily lives, influencing our environment, culture, and health. Given its significant social implications, it deserves greater public discussion. To foster this dialogue, LiTG, Deutsche Gesellschaft für LichtTechnik und LichtGestaltung e.V. (German Society for Lighting Technology and Lighting Design) is organising the symposium "FUTURE-PROOF LIGHTING 2024" on November 5, 2024 at 09:00-19:30 (CET). LiTG also serves as the hosting organisation for the CIE NC Germany (DNK-CIE).

Participants can look forward to a dynamic blend of insights from experts in various fields, including lighting research and standardisation, nature conservation, production and application, ecology, daylight and artificial lighting design, as well as sustainable luminaire construction. Join the symposium for an inspiring exchange of knowledge and ideas!

Interactive Discussions: The symposium will feature engaging round table discussions, where best practice examples and innovative approaches will be shared. Additionally, gallery presentations will highlight exemplary strategies and lighthouse projects.

Raising Awareness: The primary aim of this event is to enhance understanding of lighting's impact on the environment, particularly biodiversity, and society at large. By reaching beyond the professional sphere, we seek to promote more sustainable lighting practices in both professional and private settings.

Target Group: This event is designed for politicians, municipalities, building and environmental authorities, the real estate industry and housing associations, as well as associations related to architecture, planning, and guilds.

Registration: Tickets for the symposium range from €95 to €195, with discounts available for associations. For more information and to register, please visit Eventbrite or belektro (Code: ZuBe_belektro2024).

This event is organized by LiTG on the initiative of Gather Around Light, with the kind support of belektro and many others.
